Abstract:
As AI technologies continue to evolve, data from and about individuals will be aggregated to develop algorithms with a host of potential for driving decision making. The voice of the public and patients has not been sufficiently harnessed to inform developers of these algorithms. This panel will emphasize for model developers that behind every bit of data is a person who may or may not have provided their permission to use that data through the discussion of two use cases – commercial application and data mining for research.
