Scarlett Johansson, the renowned Hollywood actress, is taking legal action against an AI app that utilized her name and likeness in an online advertisement without her consent.

The 22-second ad, shared on X, was generated by an AI app known as Lisa AI, and it featured Johansson without her endorsement. The unauthorized ad began with a clip of Johansson from her role in Marvel’s “Black Widow” and used her image to promote the AI app. Despite a disclaimer in fine print indicating that the images were produced by Lisa AI and not endorsed by Johansson, the use of her likeness raised ethical and legal concerns.

Johansson’s representatives confirmed that she is not associated with the app, and her attorney, Kevin Yorn, initiated legal proceedings in response to this infringement. Although the offending advertisement has since disappeared from the internet, Johansson’s legal team remains steadfast in their resolve to address the issue using legal remedies.
