Technological advancements in software and hardware engineering have enabled the deployment of robots in highly unstructured environments, greatly enhancing what humans can accomplish safely and productively. Drones have become cheap to produce at scale and have become equipped with advanced sensors and navigational intelligence. Vehicles are becoming increasingly autonomous, from adaptive cruise control systems to full self-driving. This session will inform students about the range of applications of these technologies and will present the state of the art in robotics, drones, and autonomous vehicles.
